Seated Sewing began as a response to the lack of practical, stylish clothing for wheelchair users. Kat combined a lifelong love of sewing with her own lived experience to create designs that prioritize comfort, independence, and personal style.

Our Full Team
Kat
Kat is the founder and designer behind Seated Sewing. After becoming a wheelchair user, she began designing practical, stylish solutions based on her own lived experience. Every product is thoughtfully created to support comfort, independence and confidence in everyday life.
Shadow
Chief of Paw-trol oversees site security and general vigilance at Seated Sewing. Responsible for monitoring suspicious noises, unexpected deliveries and passing squirrels, she takes her role very seriously. When not on duty, she can be found napping to recharge for the next alert.
Nathan
Nathan is Kat's husband and works closely behind the scenes. He takes care of the technical setup and business support and is a constant support to Kat. You’ll often find him at fashion events, helping bring Seated Sewing to life.
Rose
Head of Barketing leads morale, brand awareness, and vocal announcements across the business. Specialising in greetings, reminders, and enthusiasm, she ensures no visitor goes unnoticed. Widely regarded as the heart of the team — and always ready for a treat-based meeting.
Gemma
Gemma helps to keep things organised and moving smoothly behind the scenes. She works closely with the team to support day-to-day operations and the wider growth of the business. Her role helps ensure both the creative and practical sides of Seated Sewing are well supported.
